MANY VIETNAM-ERA VETERANS WHO SERVED IN THAILAND HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO AGENT ORANGE.

Vietnam-era Veterans whose service involved duty on military bases in Thailand anytime between February 28, 1961, and May 7, 1975 may have been exposed to herbicides and may qualify for VA benefits.

This includes service at one of the following Royal Thai Air Force Bases (RTAFBs): U-Tapao, Ubon, Nakhon Phanom, Udorn, Takhli, Korat, or Don Muang. The VA has established presumptive service connection for a number of diseases associated with Agent Orange, including:
  • Type II Diabetes
  • Multiple Myeloma
  • Skin Diseases
  • Ischemic Heart Disease
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Hodgkin’s Disease
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Soft Tissue Sarcoma
  • CLL and other B-cell Leukemias
  • Lung and other Respiratory Cancers
If you have one of these diseases, and your service involved duty on military bases in Thailand, then the VA may be required to extend presumptive service connection to you. This could mean you are entitled to substantial VA benefits.
