 The oldest of Civilizations, Egypt's people, proving their worth as they have throughout their long history.

There have been times in America when folks peacefully protested. It was especially true during the early union years. And, within a short time, thugs, paid by big biz, came into the crowds and created chaos. Even at different stages of America's growth, the police were and still are, used against protesters. This has happened many times in America's history. The 60's. Kent State is a perfect example of how our government used force against students and caused death and maiming. At the last Republican Convention protesters were harmed, one was trampled by an officers horse...

Those behind Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak "Dare" use violence and in doing so, give credence to the people of Egypt who are demanding reform. I have my ideas on the who's behind this onslaught of violence. It usually is, the usual suspects. Corporations, Mubarak's handlers, and those who feed at their trough. They "Dare" use intimidation, fear and even violent tactics, to protect their agenda's. 

In spite of the bully's, those who care about the dire conditions and problems facing the average Egyptian family are doing their very best to get the message out in a peaceful manner.

But the hateful ugliness of the cowards, paid by an enemy of the people, will have caused many broken hearts and injuries.  Insatiable Gr$$d & Empir$ seekers are always behind intimidation. While many suffer, those who abuse their power hide in dark corners where "Cowards Cower & Connivers, Connive!" Money can buy many things. It cannot buy integrity, compassion, nor the "WILL" of the masses who've had ENOUGH! 

When the majority of Egyptians, or any people for that matter, are forced to grovel, for a piece of bread, while leaders & cronies dine on Caviar, something is bound to give. History has shown us that people weary of being treated like slaves!  Being coerced, made to bow to the will of  empire builders, watching children go to bed hungry, no way to tend to, nor bring comfort to the sick, there comes a day when good people say; Enough!  

In America, this stance for equality, a gift from "Brave Hearts", gave birth to the unions and a commitment to the message, all are created equal! And less "We" forget. This nation, these United States, began to prosper and grow under these new found freedoms..

Until a more vicious assault was imposed on this nations people! Powered by the Reagan/Bush regime! A Congress allowed to get away with serious conflicts of interest as they serve corporate masters. Before this abuse of power was allowed to go unchecked, the long term future for many American's showed great promise. "The Reagan years were not good for America nor her working class. Much less, America's small business' or family farmers.

NAFTA, an abusive piece of legislation, was an abuse of the highest caliber! American workers, small biz and the poor, forced to suffer the death throes of a nation BETRAYED! Enlightened American's will only take so much abuse from the power brokers who have proven to be "RELENTLESS" in their demands...

Lives of good people are being lost during this protest in Egypt.  I have several friends over there, some in Syria, that I'm praying for. Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak is a shallow shell of a man more interested in maintaining power then his concern for the welfare of his countrymen. The Power brokers Mubarak bows too, control Egypt! I think it's fair to say that some of the same power brokers are running and ruining America as well!

My heart goes out to the people of Egypt! They're only guilty of one thing. "DESIROUS OF CHANGE".. They have a strong conscious impulse to do something to change the way their nation, under certain abusive entities, operate!  "We" American's, for some time now, have been passionate about America's need for "CHANGE" . But leaders/members of both parties have been high and mighty for so long, its as if "We" don't exist.

Sound familiar? Mubarak has treated his people in this high and mighty way for many years, and now, that the people are standing up, he sees only his shadow! Many of America's leaders see only their shadow and have become so caught up in their world they see not the damage they have caused their countrymen..These are some enlightened times. The world is a smaller place these days and "We", as citizens of the world, are coming together in solidarity. I am so overwhelmed by the actions of the good people of Egypt. My heart sings as they face a new era in Egypt's history. A history full of wonders.."We" American's, many of US,  spend too much time seeing only that which is in front of us. "We" need to see the world and all of it's wonders, that's before us!

President Obama promised Change "We" Could all Believe In!  Without our participation there will be no change, only a more oppressive escalation of what's been!  The stranglehold Egyptians are desirous of freeing themselves of is similar to the situation, stranglehold, American's face.  The undue influence of Corporations have allowed them to operate like a runaway train. They participate in criminal activities, get a slap on the wrist and or fined, the next day they're back at it!  World Leaders caught up in these times would best remember what many of their citizens are waking up to, corruption, ultimately, corrupts absolutely!   Barbara/founder/dtdn.net

One large Gushing Oil Leak Is all that it took!

Dead Fish are washing up all along the east coast by the hundreds possibly thousands.
Hundreds of dead jelly fish wash up on Mississippi's shores.

Piles of dead Marine life that are being ignored by the Mainstream media and hidden from Camera view ..( this hiding is sponsored by Homeland Security who is in charge of all media content from the Gulf and BP's fear of a 50,000 dollar per dead animal fine.)
The cause ? less oxygen in the waters, Oil plumes, oil ingested by these sea animals and oil covering their bodies , toxic dispersant's, and methane, plus other gases that came from the oil well gusher.
Many of these fish are food species for all the life in the oceans and this Earth including humans.
The food chain has been disrupted in a large way. Maybe permanently.
This is why environmentalist have been saying ..NO drilling!
Our Congress did not care. Our Senate did not care. Our Presidents did not care.
The people who needed a job from the many industries that depend upon oil did not care.
The government did not offer those folks another job option.
With the save your current job carrot dangling in front of most Americans noses ..The government people who were elected to safeguard America and We the Peoples interests,
led them all to disaster!
ONE gushing Leak, just ONE! .... is all it has taken to bankrupt fishing industries,severely hamper (possibly destroyed) tourist and restaurant industries in multiple states, bankrupt and put out of a job, ALL the industries that depended upon a healthy eco-system within the ocean. Joc Cousteau would weep.
Just ONE Oil spill from ONE well is all that it took to create this .
(There are hundreds of Oil wells in the Gulf and elsewhere around the globe.)

We environmentalist were trying to save ALL the industries and ALL the jobs that depend upon a healthy eco-system, only to have Corporation spokespeople and their paid for politician lackeys say :
"We Environmentalist" are the reason there are no jobs from certain industries.
We the environmentalist KNEW that the Oil corporations could NOT be trusted to safe guard the environment that SO many others depended upon for their livelyhood.
How did we know this?
Well the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior and the Oil companies have a LOONG history of violating the environment and leaving their toxic messes.
After all it's not like Mining corporations and Oil corporations have ever left a huge disaster in EVERY PLACE they have ever been in the world is it?

This damage they leave costs them Millions possibly Billions to clean and people get sick, Crops get contaminated,and our water supply becomes contaminated with poisons...But hey what is that compared to profit?
These Corporations continue to make a profit while passing ALL the expenses on to the consumer for their messes. We the People get to pay for cleaning up the huge mess they made in the first place!
By the way this clean up costs more than the prevention would have cost.
In short they make their money with slow agonizing Death. Why should they care?
They are fine and have made Billions. While WE the People are stuck with paying for it.
How do they repay us for our loyalties???
They take the very same jobs they told us their neglectful processes were "saving" and outsourced them to other countries while they blame it all on the restrictions "Our Bleeding Heart Liberals" have set in place to hold them accountable..
They forgot to mention the fact that these laws would not have been necessary had they not destroyed all other Industries and more in their mad rush for Black Gold.

Instead these corporations just move on to other countries with lax environmental laws like a bad virus..contaminating and killing other parts of the world.

Sarah Palin had the nerve during the spill to attempt to lay the blame for this mega disaster upon the doorsteps of the environmentalists by saying that "if environmentalist had allowed shallow off the coast drilling" then this disaster would not be so huge.
Now how does that make any sense? Would there be less oil coming out from a collapsed line?
Perhaps their would have been a way to cap it better?
Perhaps BP would have paid closer attention to their own peoples warnings regarding a disaster and the dangers they were risking?
Noooooo Mz.Palin. That dog don't hunt .
We environmentalist were trying to create more jobs at home here in America from recycling industries,green technologies etc..only to have all of that fall on deaf ears within our bought and paid for by the oil lobbyist, propaganda spewing,war mongering ,special interest bought politicians government!
In short Mz.Palin People like you.

Unlike the oil companies; Green technology wasn't subsidised by the government so all the promising research and proven to work technology couldn't be taken to the next level.
Other countries created jobs for their people and took care of a huge part of their energy needs with Green Fuel technology ... but not America.

Instead of supporting new industries here in America that would have created millions of jobs for Americans in America; the last 3 administrations (and possibly more) have spent trillions of dollars fighting wars and waging a propaganda war to control the oil and gas resources of the world. Their reasoning???... keep them out of "hostile to American Capitalism" governments in the world.
Translation:
We have to Protect our national interest in the world" and that interest is expanding Capitalistic profit in the corporate sponsored government minds. Not for American People just for them.
In their twisted minds this paradigm equals freedom..(it does ...but only theirs.. not We the People's) so this is the tactic our government has been using to do unethical ,immoral,bad for Americans, business in the world and getting Americans to go along with what they have been doing.
Money creates freedom..right???
Money and jobs create prosperity...right????
after all we Americans must maintain our wealth right???
Then pray tell me the answer to this question.
Why have these "educated "people led us down the path to ruin?
If their Ideas were so great and workable why isn't the world economy in better shape?
Why is Americas economy in the double dipped recession we are now in?
One just ONE! Oil gusher in the ocean is all it has taken at the proper time to cause irreparable harm to a American Industry.
The lists of disasters in America (and the world) recently has been mind boggling.
Freaky weather,is causing many crops and gardens to fail.. (Is this HAARP related?)
Hailstorms have done extensive damage,tornado's,and rainstorms,floods and /or extensive droughts are wreaking havoc on the American farmer and have been doing so for years now.

The fishing industry off of Americas eastern coast is now damaged for years to come maybe for generations, maybe forever.
Our Greedy Bankster and Wall street money changers have wreaked our Construction industries, all the industries that depend upon new home construction, our Credit industries, Loan Programs , and Housing markets.
They have also assisted the drug wars in Mexico by laundering money for them.
Our retail car industries and car manufacturing industries, along with all the associated Industries, also took a heavy hit..and to top it all off "We the People " whose jobs vanished with the outsourcing of America and all the above mentioned situations Bailed many of these industries out with tax dollars, while we struggled to put food on the table and they squabbled and squawked over losing their million dollars bonuses.
Now those self same voices that have brought us to this precipice ..The Republican Party and the Democrat Party have bought up Billions of dollars of campaign ads on television ,radio, newspaper, banners,Internet ads, posters stuck all over every street corner in the nation to say the same thing..It was the other parties fault.
Elect ME! they all say. I will single handily fix it all.
"The Left has ruined our Country by imposing socialism programs" So saith the Right wing "Conservative" politicians.
"The Right has led us all to War bankrupted our nation ,ruined our economy " So saith the Left wing "Liberal" Politicians.
You know what??....we have had these two parties swapping control ...for over a hundred years!
In that time this thinking regarding jobs,World Peace and prosperity and more, have brought us to right here, right now, with these global and national problems outlined within this article.
Each political party has blamed the other or someone else for the problems refusing to take ANY responsibility for their part in these financial and ecological disasters!
We the People have had to deal with their lies,denials and finger pointing at each other while NOTHING HELPFUL In or/FOR THE LONG TERM... GETS DONE!
Their best thoughts got us right here in the now with one disaster after another.
The mind boggling part for me is that the American public will go to the polls again this year and elect one of these parties with proven incompetence at their jobs AGAIN!
The American Voter will say...What other choice is there????
Well if they would REALLY ask and research that question they would find there are MANY OTHER CHOICES!
It is way past time for a new paradigm.
I voted Green!
We the People do not need, nor can America survive anymore Conservatives or Liberals.
What WE the People need is BALANCE and SANE Thinking....not to far to the left nor right..for it is crystal clear that both the left and right have had more than enough time to get this correct and it is clear to even the most blind and/or dumbest among us..that they have FUBAR'ed it beyond anyones wildest nightmares!

Big Banks fund the Drug Cartel's of Mexico with your money!

This article posted below arrived in my e-mail box this morning.
I read it and thought .."I was right!"
I have long suspected that the current war on drugs is a false front that makes money for the privatized prison systems,while doing away with druglords competition. I also believe that the main reason marijuana is still illegal is because powerful people are making a profit and do not wish that profit or power to be infringed upon .. and now here is the proof. (Cocaine is not the only substance coming from those cartels in Mexico ) ...Read about it then please become outraged..then for the sake of your livelyhood,your loved ones, your family and children...
DO SOMETHING!!!
What can you do???
Well for starters.... Take your money out of "Big Banks" and put it in a local community bank!
Then stop using the credit cards from Chase, Citi-Bank-Wachovia and anything funded by Goldman Sach! (For those that have been following along you also know that these banks are part of the FED.) You say you cannot??? Then when you wake up to a Socialist dictatorship that mandates everything you do,and they come for your family...Smile! Because your apathy helped to create it. Stop waiting for our useless government to do something..YOU DO SOMETHING!
My money is in a local community bank ..I do not have a credit card and I shop Mom and Pop local Bz. By money standards I am very poor..but I drink gourmet organic coffees, own my toyota, wash with handmilled soap made by the Amish, eat well from local farmers co-op,local gardens and my own, buy eggs from a local person, shop at yard sales for clothes, recycle, and more. You can do these things as well even if you live in the city. It's just done differently thats all.

Ah, Megabanks, how we love thee. Let us count the ways... Like clockwork, you create a new crisis every five to seven years or so with your greedy, pig-headed lending. You routinely cover your tracks with torrents of lobbying cash poured into Washington. In the subprime mortgage crisis and the financial meltdown that followed, you nearly succeeded in blowing up the global economy. And then, in the aftermath, you arranged one of the greatest swindles ever, getting the system to make you whole again (via taxpayer blood and treasure) even as a majority of Americans suffered.

The above is plenty of reason to be disgusted, one could fairly conclude. But as that legendary pitchman Ron Popeil likes to say: "But wait - there's more!"

Now we learn that, joy of joys, plundering and pillaging the rotten financial system was not enough for these men. They also saw fit to directly fuel the Mexican cocaine trade... knowingly aid in the laundering of billions, even tens of billions, in bloody drug money... and do their part in helping turn Mexico into Colombia, a struggling developing world country slowly descending into the hell of a narco-state.

Exaggeration? Sadly not...

Black Suitcases and a DC-9

A recent issue of Bloomberg Markets magazine ran a deeply unsettling story titled "Wachovia's Drug Habit."

The story opens with the seizure of a DC-9 jet loaded up with "128 black suitcases, packed with 5.7 tons of cocaine," good enough for a street value of $100 million.


"Law enforcement officials also discovered something else," Bloomberg Markets magazine reports. "The smugglers had bought the DC-9 with laundered funds transferred through two of the biggest banks in the U.S.: Wachovia Corp and Bank of America Corp"...

"This was no isolated incident," the story adds. "Wachovia, it turned out, had made a habit of helping move money for Mexican drug smugglers. Wells Fargo & Co., which bought Wachovia in 2008, has admitted in court that its unit failed to monitor and report suspected money laundering by narcotics traffickers - included the cash used to buy four planes that shipped a total of 22 tons of cocaine."

Blind Eye, Greedy Eye

Narcotics is big business in the United States. According to the U.S. Justice Department, Bloomberg reports, "the cartels have built a network of dealers in 231 U.S. cities from coast to coast, taking in about $39 billion in sales annually."

Thirty-nine billion is some serious dough. You don't move that kind of cash without the help of your friendly megabanker.

"It's the banks laundering the money for the cartels that finances the tragedy," says Martin Woods. "If you don't see the correlation between the money laundering by banks and the 22,000 people killed in Mexico, you're missing the point."

And just who is Martin Woods, you ask? He is the former head of Wachovia's anti-money-laundering unit in London. Woods is no longer in that role, having quit his job in "disgust" as higher-up executives ignored his documentation of the drug-money funneling process.

The profits from quietly washing that $39 billion clean were too big to pass up... and so the banks turned a blind eye instead.

The list of banks with questionable connections to the multibillion-dollar drug trade sounds like a "who's who" of financial might: Wachovia (now Wells Fargo). Bank of America. American Express Bank International. HSBC Holdings. Citigroup. Banco Santander. Western Union. There are probably more...

Too Big to Jail

"No big bank - Wells Fargo included - has ever been indicted for violating the Bank Secrecy Act or any other federal law," says Bloomberg. "Instead, the U.S. Justice Department settles criminal charges by using deferred-prosecution agreements, in which a bank pays a fine and promises not to break the law again."

In plain English, "Too Big to Fail" has become "Too Big to Jail." The megabanks are seen as too important to the health and functioning of the U.S. financial system to risk hitting them with criminal charges.

Perversely, the current setup actually reinforces criminal activity. When breaking the law results in a small financial fine, it doesn't take long before the fine is seen as a simple "cost of doing business." The megabanks, protected as they are from on high, are thus encouraged to do whatever they please and take their slap on the wrist later.

A Descent Into Hell

Roughly a month ago, Rodolfo Torre was ambushed and gunned down on a rural Mexican highway. Torre was the clear front-runner in a bid to become governor of Tamaulipas, a Mexican state bordering Texas. Along with Torre, his chief of staff, campaign chief and bodyguard were also killed.

This happened just across the border. Just imagine if a U.S. political candidate running on a strong anti-trafficking platform were hunted down.

In fact, we may not have to imagine at all, because a similar threat has arisen in Arizona... Joe Arpaio, the Sherriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., now has a $1 million bounty on his head. It was placed there by a Mexican drug cartel, Fox Phoenix reports. Do you think the cartel really has the money? I do. I wonder how they got it...

The number of people killed in the never-ending drug war continues to escalate. By some estimates 22,000 has become 25,000. Less than a week ago, four journalists were kidnapped. Attempts by the local police force to stand up to gang threats result in people's heads in baskets. Mexican pop singers who compose song ballads to drug barons, known as narcocorridos, are gunned down in cold blood when a rival baron gets offended. The Mexican Army, supposedly fighting the gangs, has gotten so out of control as to become a source of local terror themselves.

Mexico is on the way to becoming a failed state, or rather, a narco-state. The war on drugs has been completely and irrevocably lost. We are at the point where further efforts to "crack down" only serve to increase the profits of the cartels by raising the street value of various illegal substances. And the money poured into drug-fighting enforcement measures by both the U.S. and Mexican governments only serves to increase the size and frequency of violent, bloody shootouts.

Meanwhile, the dogs of war - i.e. the 'Too Big to Jail' banks - casually sit back and help fund it all.

No Redemption?

As Mexico morphs into Colombia - a de facto fiefdom for drug barons - America's "Great Recession" is showing more signs of being a Soft Depression for some. The latest stats indicate 25% of Americans have a credit score of less than 600, making them ineligible for any basic loans. A frightening majority of Americans are two paychecks or less from total destitution. And things are getting worse...

There seems to be no way around the final conclusion. America is gorging itself to death on complacency and ignorance. Our delusions and self indulgences are now, literally, costing thousands of lives. And the white-collar travesties being perpetrated at the highest levels are helping to transform an immediate neighbor, Mexico, from a promising developing world nation into a blood-soaked third-world hellhole.

What can we do about any of this? "Throw the bums out?" Which bums exactly? Replace the Democrat in the White House with another Republican? Fat lot of good that would do... just look what the last Republican did. When an empire shows itself to be in the final stages of crumbling, perhaps the only sane thing to do is stay wise, stay wary, and focus on the well-being of your loved ones...
