Virginia (A Southern State) Ends Homelessness for Veterans

Virginia is reported to be the first state to end homelessness for Veterans
Virginia is working on another program to end homelessness for all people in their state by the end of 2017.

The homeless problem in America is a big one.

"On a single night in January 2013 there were 610,042 reported homeless people in America."
 These stats only reflect the homeless that were known about.
(Many feel the number was actually higher.)
The numbers of  homeless has dropped somewhat since then they say.. but the numbers are still staggering.

I personally have seen many homeless living under bridges..carrying signs begging for work and it was during last years coldest times of the winter .
People would say things like.."there are shelters they can go to.
I called a few..they were full and could take in no more people .Some of those places wanted money from the homeless to stay there..I was thinking..WTH?

The state of Utah who as far as I know was the first state in America to do something positive about their homeless people;has succeeded with over90% of the homeless having housing as of this writing.
It is this bloggers opinion that that is most excellent news.

It is not only Virginia and Utah implementing programs such as these.
Kudos out to New Orleans,New York, and Connecticut for working hard to solve the homeless Veteran  problem. No person who has ever served in our military should ever be homeless in this country.
Once the above mentioned states get their homeless veterans housed?
Then they plan to implement that program to ensure All Homeless Americans get housing.

The homeless situation has been a concern of mine for decades..My couch and my home have served many who had no place to go,including a couple of homeless veterans. They were our friends and we were glad to put them up in our home.
No words can adequately express my joy at this news.

Our solders who have returned from Iraq..Afghanistan are supporting what the Iraqi people and others have said...things that the bought and paid for by the corporational government controlled American Media.
...REFUSE to air in depth beyond a 60 second blurp!
Lord knows that Charlie Sheens addiction is MUCH more important!
I support our troops..our vets...these very honorable, beautiful, young men and women who have the guts to speak the truth!
I salute you!

Republicans are lying about that Ground Zero Mosque

I wasn't going to address this but I can't stand it anymore.
Everyone is talking about it.
It's on FaceBook, on TV, in ads for Republican candidates and my friends have mentioned it and so have my children.

So lets be very clear here:
THERE IS NO PROPOSED MOSQUE BUILDING AT GROUND ZERO!
It is two blocks away and it's not a mosque! It is a proposed cultural center!
One other thing...IT IS IN A ISLAMIC NEIGHBORHOOD THAT HAS BEEN THERE FOR EVER!

This is just another example of the twisted thinking within the Republican party.
God Knows there is nothing more important to talk about than a proposed Cultural center Two blocks away from Ground Zero!

Lets see what could be more important.
Perhaps JOBS??? The ruining of American Industries,by these bought and paid for by Lobbyist Washington politician Critters? see this
The destruction of our Constitution by The Demorats and Repuglicons that has been going on ever since 9/11 and before??? How about the Truth regarding 9/11???
How about our failing FDA that is bought and paid off by Corporations to the point of our food supplies and drugs are unsafe???
How about The trillions of dollars spent in our illegal wars???
How about the bankrupting of America and the Billions of dollars of theft by Wall Street and the Federal Reserve???
NO?? How about securing Americas future by providing support for the Green Technology out there that the Union of Concerned Scientist is proposing????
How about restoring the Gulf Industries that have been devastated by the Oil Gusher they like to call a leak???
How about the proposed GI bill that IVAV is trying to get through the Congress that would support and assist our Veterans????
Last but not least...how about the legalization of the medical marijuana that many states are currently trying to pass????
It seems that these issues are not important enough to address by the Republicans nor the Democrats!.

We just get to hear about a Proposed cultural Center/AKA Mosque 2 blocks from Ground Zero!

I mean what could be more important than a "Mosque" at ground Zero????
Apparently Nothing at all according to the Mainstream media and the Repuglicons/Demorats PR campaigns.

The United States government is killing their own solders

Any leaders of any nation that knowingly kills off it's own military is insane.
Call it what you will but the bottom line is that constant exposure to radioactive dust from depleted Uranium is a death sentence. Our Department of Defence says that depleted uranium is safe. Scuse me but when did radiation become safe? Our solders are exposed. There is no way they could not be.
I watched this video in horror of that realization.
Military contractors made these weapons that have depleted Uranium in them. Military contractors are funded by the government and my tax dollars.
A quite rage courses through me.
My mind is screaming at this evil perpetuated by my government in "We The Peoples" name,in the name of keeping us "safe" from terrorist.
This evil that began on 9/11 from an inside job.
Is this a matter of the end justifies the means??
My mother taught me that two wrongs do not make a right.

Certainly these children born with deformities are very important.
Where are the right to lifers? Those pro-life people screaming at abortion clinic doors about the sacredness of life? Why are they silent?
Either all life is sacred or none of it is!

Our solders will come home with this exposure to radiation sickness and they will die.
They will die trying to believe that what our country had them do was right.
Many will die knowing they were betrayed by our government.
They answered the call to defend our nation.
Our government and the people in charge of it have betrayed them.

I want to take a moment here and thank our military and those veterans who are speaking out and those who honor their oath to protect us. And while I am speaking about it. Since when is an order lawful that is against our Constitutional law? The freedom of Speech,the right to peacably assemble does not seem to apply to our veterans nor any one else in this country anymore.
